It's time to celebrate the end of the year and the wonderful programs we have had. Join us in our annual Holiday Exchange Potluck. Our gift exchange this year is a bag/purse. Any size, any material, any shape, any design--use your imagination and creativity.

Robert at Buzzard's Backyard BBQ will prepare a main course of chicken and beef. Please RSVP Merrie Hewitt (646-0246 or groveweavr@aol.com) by Dec. 8 so she can give Robert a count. Bring a salad, veggie or dessert to round out our potluck. You are welcome to join us even if you don't participate in the gift exchange.

2007 BOARD NOMINEES
The Nominating Committee (Merrie, Laurie and Jan) met and, after a long discussion, propose the following slate of officers for 2007:

Treas. - Ann Pettit
Librarian - Kate McGrave
Newsletter Editor - Jan Thoele

We will vote at the December potluck. If you are interested in holding an office, it's not too late to toss your hat in the ring. You can announce your candidancy at the meeting. Also, if you're not able or ready to hold office now but would like to in the future, you could volunteer "to train" for the position you're interested in. Please let us know.

2007 DUES ARE DUE
Your tax deductible dues ($20 indiv./$25 family) are due. Pay in person at the meeting or mail to Ann Pettit, c/o Carmel Crafts Guild, P.O. Box 32, Pacific Grove 93950 Remember: Dues must be paid by the Feb. meeting if you wish to be included in the 2007 roster.

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS FOR CNCH
Laurie Simmons announced that scholarships are available for the CNCH ‘07 Conference at Asilomar, Apr. 19-22. Registration opened Nov. 1. Check www.CHCH.org for scholarship application and registration information. Register now. Workshops fill up fast.

Feel free to visit the classes in the next two weeks to meet other weaving students and see how rewarding the weaving experience is.

HOMECRAFTERS MARKETPLACE
The Homecrafters Marketplace on Nov. 18th was a big success. Berta Jones sold all her goods and went home before noon! Susan Bradshaw and Mary Lou Hanley were very happy with their sales and the contacts they made. Ann Pettit reports that CCG sold $116.50. After paying our share of the booth ($40), we netted $76.50. Thanks to all who embellished pillows and participated in selling, putting up and taking down the booths.
